Good game from the defense. Howard made several key saves and really had no shot at the Muller goal. Beasley and Johnson were both better going forward, but were reasonably solid. Didn't notice Besler much (which shows how well he does his job). Omar had high points and low points, but in general played up to the competition. It may have been tiredness, but all the negatives of Beckerman showed through. He looked a step slow and completely unaware of the location of players outside his field of vision. Jones' day can be summarized in one sentence, "Good effort, good vision, not quite able to pull off the execution." Decent performance, but so close to being another monster performance. Bradley was solid defensively and put out excellent effort to the end. He was gave the ball away in dangerous positions a couple times, but also had some beautiful long through-balls. Davis was MIA. Contributed nothing offensively and left Beasley hanging defensively. Zusi wasn't terribly effective offensively, but he was involved and defensively sound. Dempsey had some vision and soldiered without much support, but he went down to easily. Bedoya wasn't very involved offensively, but at least he gave an honest defensive effort. Yedlin was a bundle of disruptive energy. JK gets a low mark based on roster construction and the inexplicable decision to start Davis. He made good substitutions, but this was never going to be the sort of game that played to Davis' strength (left-footed crosses).
