Casey Johnson

Jones gets credit for the assist. Eddie Johnson was a bright spot attacking and didn't neglect defensive assignments. Edu was literally everywhere for the last 30 mintues. Dempsey scored a classy goal. Fabian Johnson made a critical interception to prevent an easy tap-in goal. Bradley was his typical self. Howard made every save he could have. Zusi's handball destroyed a promising attack. Dempsey should have done better with several counter-attack moves. Kljestan was trying, trying so hard, trying too hard, to influence the game from the left wing...not a comfortable position for him to begin with, though. Cameron, Gonzalez and Howard are all to blame for the second Honduras goal. Jones and Bradley stood still and stared as their marks brought down the cross leading to the first Honduras goal. Klinsmann should have known better than to field 3 deep-center midfielders in his lineup. Jozy did well in hold-up play and counter-attack runs but scuffed his best chance. Chandler was downright exhausted for most of the game and didn't get forward. Fabian Johnson was pretty ineffective coming forward although he made a good number of runs for it. Danny Williams was invisible and then had to be subbed off.
