Howard: Did everything expected of him Chandler: Did he actually try? Didn't close down hard, didn't go forward, did get nutmegged by a forward who was facing the other way. 2.5 might be generous. Cameron: OK, but how does he not clear that ball? A costly rookie mistake from the "veteran" of the backline. Gonzalez: Same as Cameron. Good enough-ish, but the mistake on the goal would be punished in a 30+ rec league. How do you not know there's someone in behind you? Johnson: Didn't do anything terrible like all the other defenders, but didn't do anything good either. Jones: Lovely ball for the assist, otherwise not much. Bradley: Some good moments, some bad moments. Like a lot of players, got the ball caught up in his feet several times due to the long grass. Where was he to marshall the midfield when Honduras was running right up the middle untouched over and over and over? Williams: Speaking of offering no cover in the center of midfield, and nothing going forward... Johnson: It seems that "Not doing anything terrible" has become the best you can say about this game. Had one good ball into Jozy, tracked back fairly diligently. Dempsey: Great finish, that's about it. Altidore: Worked hard tracking back, made some balls stick that maybe wouldn't have earlier in his career. Needs help. Klinsmann: Jesus Christ. Narrow team, green back line, three defensive midfielders and still no one clogged up the middle of the field. Team offered nothing defensively, in the midfield, or going forward--lots of that has to be on the coach. Gets 1.5 because he didn't fall asleep or leave or something.
