Tim Howard - outstanding. Great saves and always active. Bailed out the defense time and again. Fabian Johnson - Did well to get forward and decent service. Solid in defense. Geoff Cameron - The star of the US defense. Covered well for out of position teammates. Timothy Chandler - Did well to get forward and great service in the 1st half. Tailed off in the 2nd but solid in defense. Michael Bradley - Simply the BEST USMNT player by far. INCREDIBLE goal. Danny Williams - poor outing, poor giveaway that lead to the 1st goal. Out of position a lot. Better 2nd half but overall disappointing. Jermaine Jones - did well to get the ball into the attack, had opportunites to score but misfired. Often got too far forward leaving a hole in the midfield. Herculez Gomez - had an okay outing. Got into space in a few occasions but nothing that threatened the defense. Jozy Altidore - heard Jurgen's message - work rate was far better than past performances. Needs to do better on the ball still and hold up play but overall largely improved from Jozy. Josh Gatt - speed kills and in time it will for Gatt against other defenses. Solid first outing but would like to see more taking on the defense. Sacha Kljestan - gave the ball away and didn't contribute much. Time to explore other options. Maurice Edu - for not playing at the club level he had a solid outing connecting passes and defending. Juan Agudelo - great work rate as always. Kid hustles and it paid off with his knock down head assist. Needs to be called into future camps. Clarence Goodson - did not help his case to be called up in the future. Defensive blunder that could have cost the game. Can you say time for Omar Gonzalez?! Mix Diskerud - his understanding of the game is beyond many on the pitch. Always in the right place at the right time and that showed with his excellent goal. Needs future call ups! Terrence Boyd - always works hard and gives it his all. Future star for the USMNT. Jurgen Klinsmann - good starting lineup. Great to see him put confidence in Gatt to start. Agudelo proved to be the right sub. Boyd & Diskerud could have been called on earlier and Kljestan should not be an option for Klinsy. Has the USMNT going in the right direction.
