For me, 6 = doing your job professionally. Bingham: Solid Accosta: Out of position too often and gave attackers way too much space. Contributed nothing to the attack. Jones: Gaffes defensively, too often out of position, and frequent giveaways on attempted HR balls. Besler: 7 in 1st half, 5 2nd due to whiffs/gaffes. Birnbaum: Nowhere near the speed to play fullback, but solid otherwise. Great in the air. Zardes: Great runs, made a couple of nice passes. But crap first touch 90% of the time. His nickname should be "Doink." Diskerud: Nice enough effort, but little productivity. Bradley: Just solid. Nguyen: Invisible in 1st half. Better in 2nd. Wonder why he didn't play like that from the outset? Morris: Showed well, strong 1st touch. Played well in flow of attack. At least vs Canada, looked like he belonged. In a few years, he'll bury that 1 v Keep every time. Altidore (MOM): Decent touch, showed well for hold-up play, good effort, a handful physically. Good finishing with his feet, awful with his head on the first two chances. Lovely goal. SUBS: Vincent: Solid defending and contributed to the attack. A revelation (at least vs Canada). I'd love to see him against a better opponent. Nagbe: Meh. Klinsmann: What is his deal with playing guys out of position? Birnbaum doesn't begin to have the speed to play on the flank. But I liked the rest of his decisions.
