We looked great against Nigeria going back to the 4-2-3-1. That formation gives us so much flexibility with Dempsey pushing up as a center forward or even level with Altidore and becoming a second striker. Speaking of Altidore, The drought is over. Now comes the flood of goals with the renewed confidence. Jermaine Jones can then slide up into the attacking third while Bradley can still feel comfortable pushing up with Beckerman ahead of the back line. I like Diskerud over Bedoya. I want to see what he can do for 90 not just 25. I think the Besler/Cameron combo is the best (sadly) centerback combination. With Beasley on his left I felt like Besler looked far better against Nigeria except for that hideous tackle in the box. Johnson has impressed me in every friendly leading up to now. Before camp I would have said you were crazy to have in the 11, but now I think his creativity out of the back plus his surprising defensive ability makes him an absolute lock. As is Howard. Was there ever any question who would be in goal?
