For all the talk of new systems, I still think the American's best bet is a straight up 4-4-2. Went back and forth between Johnson and Gomez up top; picked Johnson, although it's hard not to love Gomez's effort and defensive ability. Donovan gets the call despite lots of missed games. Bocanegra over Goodson for lack of better options.
