Chris Klute and DeAndre Yedlin have sublime technical ability going forward and the pace and soccer IQ to not be beat 1v1 and to position themselves to prevent their defense from getting beat out wide, or inside. Maurice Edu, John Brooks, and Andrew Farrell are all fast, technical, position-savvy center backs that mix veteran leadership with the ability to build from the back and push forward when necessary. The 5-3-2 midfield will need a holding midfielder to win the ball, but with plenty of technical ability pushing forward. Benny Feilhaber can interchange with any one of the MFs shown here as playmaker. Joya is deployed as the link between Bradley and the rest of the attackers, and his technical ability going forward is superior to Landon Donovan. Agudelo's sublime technical ability and finishing capabilities make him a must-start, and a scary good partner for Altidore, though Aron Johannson and Clint Dempsey are also extremely good complements to Agudelo. Joe Corona also provides another playmaker who can operate from the right or centrally ahead of Bradley.
