Offensively, this formation would attack up the middle. Defensively, it would give up some space on the wings.
This formation to designed to free up Bradley while keeping tight defensively in the midfield. Looking for Jones, Beckerman, and Zusi (or Bedoya) playing very compact. I would put Dempsey up higher than Bradley (and at times flipping with Johannsson to get different looks). Bradley in more CAM role with ability to roam (I see this as Bradley's game at World Cup. His fitness, his style, and our objectives all line up for this to be his chance to be the "Master of Manaus").
(Note: if Besler isn't 100%, Brooks starts over him).
