By position: Goal: Nick Rimando is going to be the MNT's 3rd choice keeper, and a lil extra practice couldn't hurt. God forbid Howard and Guzan go down. Defense: Gonzalez and Besler have solidified their positions as the central defense of the USMNT. both are young with no world cup experience and both play in the MLS where, lets face it, most opposing attackers are not exactly world class. they need all the practice they can get, because the hopes of our Cup bid may rest in thier hands. Yedlin is a shining young star while Goodson could provide some good veteran advice to the other 3. Midfield: Donovan works best at his natural Wing position, while Bradley will need to once again get used to anchoring the central defense at times, with his chemistry with Gonzalez and Besler almost as important as their chemistry with each other. Zusi is fighting for a spot on the starting 11, while Beckerman will be important off the bench replacing Jermaine Jones and Bradley. Forwards: Its about time we gave Magic Mike a shot. He's never suited up with us on the senior level, and it will be interesting to see if his 2013 success will roll over to 2014 and on the international level. And Eddie? he's fighting for a starting spot aside Jozy in Brazil. Every time he steps on the pitch, he is tested. Klinnsmann will be watching.
