With this formation I would like to see our outside backs give some width moving forward. I think both Johnson and Lichaj are very capable of doing that.
I love Cherundolo, but I think Lichaj will ultimately be the RB starting for the US in the world cup. I really like his hustle and speed.
I'd like to Omar Gonzalez get a shot. He has made a big impact since returning to LA and and I still think our CB depth is a big question mark. No way Bovanegra is starting at CB come 2014.
Danny Williams is our CDM. Has showed much better distribution and composure on the ball than either Edu or Beckerman. He also quicker than those two.
Zusi and Donovan both have the flexibility to play as RCM/LCM or float wide if need be.
Dempsey would also have the freedom to float and drop to the midfield to get involved.
