Lets work from back to front. Timmy gets the nod in goal simply because he is hands down the best Keeper for the US on of the Top 15 or GK in the word. Johnson has shown a lot at LB as of late. He is great getting forward and since we will be using two holding CM his width in attach will be much need. Plus he can get back fast and has been improving his defense by leaps and bounds. At CB you have the past, present and future. Boca is still the leader of this team and has the best head for organizing on the team. Cameron is probably the best CB on current form the US has and he will only improve. At RB you have Cherundolo. He has lost a step but still can forward to help give an attacking option the wing we need. Plus there is really no one to take that spot. Jones and Williams will get the call in the holding/defensive midfield role. They are both capable of destroying the other sides attack and making a killer diagonal or through ball. Jones provides a wicked shot on late runs too. Bradley will be the box to box engine of the team because that is what he is. After the last round of games where he hurt it showed just that he is the most important player on the team. He is a sure tackler, the best passer out of the midfield, and dangers on second balls and late runs. As he goes so does the team. Jozy has been lights out for AZ to start the year and had 18 goals last year. He plays out wide in a front three for them and I think that is his best spot. Having him run off the big guy in the middle could allow him to reach the heights for the US that we have always wanted to see. Clint gets the start on the wide forward position. He has been the most consistent goal scorer for the team over the last few years and having play closer to box is the best spot for him. Finally I have young Boyd as the Center Forward. He is big, can hold up the ball, distribute and is a threat in the air. He is everything you want in a CF and the only real one we have right now.
