The back four and GK (as long as Tim Howard cleans up some of the set piece errors that have plagued WCQs so far) slots should be automatic whenever healthy. I think Danny Williams offers more reliable distribution and can be trusted far more than Jermaine Jones next to Michael Bradley. Williams also provides better dribbling ability going forward. Jermaine Jones' first touch has often left something to be desired and consistently ends attacks. Williams is much more clean in possession and I would love to see him combine with Bradley. Hopefully Graham Zusi can build on his amazing performance against Jamaica and offer the width on the right that has been lacking with post WC2010 Donovan. Brek Shea may drift in and out of games and is a small defensive liability, but there is absolutely no denying that he brings a ton to the table from an attacking perspective. He will force defenders to drift to the left, allowing space for Dempsey and Gomez to run in behind. I would love Jozy Altidore to put it together in a USMNT shirt, but for now, whenever he is on the field, his touch is heavy and he is completely out of sync with his teammates. Gomez has proven to be more reliable than Wondo at this level.
