This should play more as a 4-1-2-2-1. Here is the team that will give the US the best shot in Brazil 2014. Sure Holden is hurt right now, and we've never really seen Gatt play at this level, but this line-up gets the best players on the field for the US. Altidore gets to play off our two best creators (Donovan,Dempsey). Shea & Johnson are playing off each on the left, and Holden is crossing balls in from the right with Gatt flying down the side. Cameron and Edu are PERFECT for the two CB spots, and quick enough to not get beat over the top (Boca) and skilled enough to pass out of danger (Onyewu). Not sure why this has never been tried before.
