GK: Guzan is playing better than Howard right now. I think it might be time for a changing of the guard. Center Backs: Cameron is an easy selection. Jones comes into the picture due to supply and demand. The surplus we have of holding midfielders allows him to fill a much needed hole at center back. His aggression, size, and ability to play the ball out makes him the best CDM to make this transition. Sorry Bocanegra fans, his time has come and gone. Full/Wing Backs: These two are fast, good defenders, and love getting involved in the attack. With the lack of width in the midfield, Johnson and Chandler are the perfect compliment. In order to compete, we need fullbacks that love to attack and provide quality service from the wings. Holding Midfielders: Bradley is the real deal. He has really found his game in Italy that last two years. Danny Williams adds a little adventure to the position. He is a good ball winner, and confident driving forward. He also adds some confidence on the ball that is much needed in the middle of the park. Center Attacking Mid: Zusi is the guy we need linking the play to the forards. He has great vision and calmness on the ball. He also has a great ability for early diagnal balls that are suited for LD and Clint off the edges. His quality passing will also help Jozy get into postion to hold the ball up with his back to goal. Wings: Clint is at his best coming in off the left. He just doesn't thrive playing directly underneath the striker. It also provides him to get on the end of crosses coming from LD and Johnson down the right. I also feel the LD is better suited to play out wide with the ability to tuck in when appropriate. Striker: Jozy, keep that AZ confidence when you put on your USMNT kit. I think Jozy doesn't feel the same pressure at AZ to be to "goal scorer" that he does with the US. When he can relax, and uses his size and strength the way in Holland, people will see what that hype was all about. Jozy is looking like a real #9 these days. Not only getting into the right position, but finishing chances, and scoring some really classy goals in the process.
