Jozy needs help and, overall, the team needs speed and better skill. Joshua Gatt is pure speed and will keep one side of the opposition honest due to avoid letting Gatt behind them. Dempsey, Zusi, and Bradley provide the class on the ball that has been lacking in the final third. With Cameron behind them providing cover for the back 4 they can push farther up the field and occupy defenders to free up Altidore. Zusi is a good passer and crosser of the ball, but I could easily replace him with a Brad Davis or Mix Diskerud. Defensively we need to get faster as well. Lichaj is a big improvement over Chandler who I feel is very overrated. Dolo is getting up there in age and can provide cover. Maurice Edu should be a defender. He's got some ball skill, but not world class ball skill to play in the midfield. Defense suits him well with his decent size and good athletic ability. Omar provides the size and leadership, with Johnson on the left overlapping Zusi who likes to drift inside a bit. Cameron is the key here. He can defend, but he is terrific on the ball. He is the guy who can bring offense and defense together. If Edu is shaky then we can bring back Boca or introduce Besler.
