I feel like this is our most experienced starting XI. Holden will be a big player to have coming back into the fold. He likes to connect with his teammates which would help with possession. Dempsey and Donovan would be outside fws/ Winger type players who would run up to support Gomez while also coming back for the ball. Gomez as the center fw. With this formation I would hope to see Dempsey, Donovan, and Gomez connecting with each other up top with Holden just behind serving as a link. Bradley I feel is a good holding midfielder to sit back like a paul scholes type guy, someone who is box to box. Jones also want him to sit back but be more defensive minded and protect the back 4.
