Maybe I've been watching too much of the Eredivisie, where seemingly every team lines up in a 4-3-3. I don't think I need to explain the back four as it seems like the consensus. I think Altidore has to be the striker because he's leading the Dutch league in goals and is the most in-form US striker. I think he's become tactically wiser, and don't forget, he's still only 22. Donovan and Shea can provide width and supply for Jozy. Dempsey would line up a little closer to the attack but not quite as a CF. I think Bradley's passing skills are underrated, so I'd put him in more of a CM role. He could provide the link from the back four to the attack. Williams would play the anchor man in front of the back four. I think the US needs to attack more and the 4-3-3 is more conducive to that goal. If push comes to shove, it could easily be transformed into a 4-2-3-1.
