This is my predicted 2014 World Cup team. I have incorporated several young guys while also keeping veteran leadership. I feel Altidore plays well with another striker up top and I also feel that Gatt and Diskerud provide speed and technique that will get Altidore more service than he does now. Also, Boyd will continue to develop and easily be one of the top strikers in the pool. Dempsey will be able to use his knack for scoring in an advanced mid role and also work his magic. Bradley provides his box-to-box defense and effort but also is able to spread the ball around with his passing skills. The back line is pretty normal except for Lichaj replacing Cherundolo. Cherundolo would definitely been on the bench but I feel he will be slowing down while Lichaj will be picking up. Maybe Chandler would be there but I don't know what is going on with him. Obviously Howard gets the start. I feel this lineup is much more of the attacking one that the USA and Klinsmann want. It provides speed, technique and the typical USA go all out attitude. I would even be comfortable with playing most of these guys in the Hex (against "weaker" teams) and still get results.
