This is our best 11 in their best positions, if you want to play 4-4-2 then drop Zuzi and move Clint out to the left and put Donovan on the right and then pair Jones with Bradley. Never should we play more than 2 "destroyers" on the field at once so Edu, Beckerman, and Williams are the odd men out. My current formation could also be called a 4-3-3 if you wanted, just position Dempsey up a little higher behind the forwards, both formations require a lot of overlapping with Cherundolo and Johnson which I believe they are more than capable of. Both Altidore and Gomez can finish if given the opportunity, they are the most in form strikers right now. Any other tinkering with our lineup is mindless to me, I don't believe that we can position our best players any better than this. I keep trying to think of ways to get Shea or Williams on the field but just don't see it. Plus I don't see any room for Torres on the field if Donovan, Dempsey, and Bradley are all starting, he doesn't offer anything better. There could be a spot open for Holden in a few years assuming he recovers fully.
