Howard - C'mon. Backline - I've been extremely impressed by what Cameron has been able to deliver this year as a CB with it. He provides size, but most importantly, he has speed and mobility that his predecessor (Gooch) no longer possesses. I'm still on the fence with Boca, but given the lack of major tourney experience with the other three, he'll be crucial to leading the organization in the back along with help from Timmy. Edu or OMGonzo could be easily replacements should Boca's form drops due to age and current comp level in Segunda Liga. Midfield- if this had come to me in January, I would've easily put in Bradley in at CDM with Jones. I considered him to be "Schweinsteiger Lite" at that position. Times change. It's apparent that Bradley's level of passing has dramatically improved in his one season at Chievo and sure to improve more at Roma. I think the time has come for him to take a larger and more central role in attack. I think he's capable of being a poor man's Van der Vaart or Sneijder at the CAM role. The difference between putting him there and not Dempsey simply comes does to service- Bradley can give it where with Deuce, the service ends as he hasn't really provided any service for Jozy. I would prefer honestly to not have Dempsey still on the wing, but if there was anyone capable of giving service AND finishing, he should be in that role instead. That's Bradley. Striker/Attack- If all said on Bradley works to plan, Jozy should get the service he wants and need to perform. His club form shows that he can finish with regularity. I admire the work Gomez puts in, and I like what Boyd is doing so far in Austria, but Jozy has the experience (over Boyd) and the youth (over Herc) still to his advantage. By 2014 he will have regained his starting spot. JK is right to push him to do more in his performances and I think it will serve him for the better in the long run. With Bradley at CAM, I think Deuce will still have enough room to still do what he does best which is get inside the box. It's no longer the BEST spot for him, but for overall purposes it will still work. Gatt (especially when partnered on the right with Johnson) will be a real X factor in my opinion when it comes to counter attacks. I wanted to pair Gatt with Johnson and Dempsey with Lichaj because I think they complete each other's style well. I hope Gatt can move to a bigger club next summer because the tell tale on if he will start will be his ability to finish. He's shown he can do that in Norway, but it may be a different story in a bigger club/league. There has to be balance with the attack and if the RW can't finish like the LW and the ST (and CAM as needed), the attack will be unbalance and the defense will focus on the focal points of attack. We're better off when the defense has to respect all points and players in attack.
