Right now, Gomez and Altidore are the best options for attack. Gomez is a workhorse and Altidore is experienced and still very young. Bradley and Dempsey are the most important players to the USMNT at this point in time and Zusi is the heir to the fading Donovan. Danny Williams is proving himself and given a box to box role, interchanging with Bradley provides balance in both attack and defense. The back four is built for the future with the continuation of consistently solid defender, Captain America. Fabian Johnson has sole ownership of the LB position for the foreseeable future. Omar Gonzalez has proven himself as a consistently reliable defender and earns the CB partnership with Bocanegra. As for Geoff Cameron, Cherundolo is solid and this is a fight for the position, but Geoff is going to be a USMNT regular for a long time and Cherundolo isn't getting any younger.
