Like a 4-3-3 better, but we should let personnel dictate formation. I feel this is the best mix of technical skill and athleticism the USMNT can put on the field. For the most part all players are playing in natural positions. Good mix of youth and experience. In the back Cherundolo, Cameron, and Johnson need little explanation. Athleticism, technical ability, speed, and service from the flanks. If all you ask Edu to do is play defense (which he is very good at) and be an adequate passer he could be successful. There are a bunch of guys who are better midfielders than he is. I really like this midfield. Dempsey, Bradley, and Zusi moving all over the field with Williams providing the cover on the counter. Up top you get two great finishers who complement each other. One with great size, technical ability and movement, and the other with speed and everything else Donovan brings to the table. I see Donovan playing a little lower to link up with midfield when necessary, but also bringing speed to the counter attack. Teams will have to put there best 1v1 defender on him allowing the Bradley, Dempsey, Altidore triangle to do work on the other side.
