Obviously this roster assumes a couple of things:
1) That Stuart Holden is healthy.
2) That Timmy Chandler is committed to the USMNT.
3) That Landon actually wants to play.
I'm a fan of the pairing of Altidore and Dempsey up top because of Jozy's holding ability and Clint's ability to always be around the ball. Neither is great at creating but the US doesn't really have that player at this time.
The midfield to me was the easiest to choose. I like the trio of Holden, Bradley and Donovan because they possess well and each have strengths that compliment the team. Holden with his passing and crossing skills, Donovan with his dynamic runs down the side and Bradley with his control of the midfield and long range shooting ability.
Danny Williams, to me, is the most natural fit at DM the way he tackles and tracks players coming through the midfield.
The back four is pretty self explanatory in that I think they are the four best players at their positions with maybe the exception of Boc, but he gives you experience and leadership.
