Cameron and Gonzalez represent our strongest CB partnership, and I hope to see them get significant time together in upcoming WCQ. Chandler and Johnson bring similar styles to their defensive work and are always willing to get forward and play dangerous passes. Their movement allows the MF's to tuck in and try to combine. Dempsey and Donovan are the main creative threats and should be encouraged to pick up the ball in dangerous areas and work to combine. Bradley is an automatic pick at this point. Covers tons of ground, wins loose balls, and sets the tempo offensively, the holder Williams screens for the back 4, wins his tackles and distributes quickly. Altidore and Boyd have similar physical skill sets, but with some time could work well together, alternating between being a hold-up center forward and stretching the back 4 with diagonal runs, their combined size speed and physicality is a nightmare for defenders, especially in CONCACAF qualifiers.
