I'd like to see Altidore play up top and the attacking midfield built around him. The midfied is more of a 4-5-1 diamond with Michael Bradley as the distributing anchor. In this formation you can slide Boyd up top and play a 4-3-1-2 if needed. The back 4 is questionable, but I think Fabian Johnson is the best left-back, possibly Tim Chandler at right back.
