I like this formation because it has a clear #6 which Klinsman prefers, and I think our formations usually morph into something resembling this as a game progresses anyway. Howard, Fabian, Cameron, Bradley and Donovan (if he's around) are locks at these positions. Dempsey is the best scorer so I want him as close to the goal as possible; Altidore does a great job creating space for Dempsey so I love that pairing. Williams gets the #6 over Jones because of Jones' card trouble. You can't start anyone in 2013 you don't think will be able to start at WC2014, so Boca and Dolo are out. Gonzalez, Zusi, and Lichaj are best options today IMO, although it's easy to see Chandler winning RB if he's ever cap tied and Holden winning RM if he can ever get completely healthy and return to form.
