Assume a perfect USMNT world. A world where there are no injuries, conflicts or feelings of possibly needing to retire. Everyone is up for selection and the World Cup starts tomorrow.
For that set of circumstances this is my Starting XI.
Clearly, my biggest question mark is Danny Williams as a CB. This is clearly not his normal position but given our uncertainty in that spot, I'd give him a go. I think he's got the attributes to be quite strong back there.
I also though about possibly starting Zusi over Herc but I see Z being stronger coming off the bench and Herc is on fire at the first whistle.
I personally think this Starting XI is NASTY. If we brought it to Brazil 2014 I think we could do some SERIOUS damage.
