The defense picks itself—although I'm not convinced on Bocanegra, and Lichaj could come in at left-back and push Johnson up into Shea's spot. The midfield is what every good, modern midfield is. Two holders who can play the ball and alternatively get forward—the American version of Khedira and Schweinsteiger if you're into somewhat absurd comparisons. Dempsey has the platform to do what Dempsey does, and he's also able to drift wide left or right, with Donovan and Shea both able to come into the middle. Shea and Donovan give a nice balance—she being more direct and running at people, with Donovan keeping the ball and being able to link with Altidore and Dempsey. And up top it's Altidore because I love you, Herculez (mainly because your name is Herculez), but Jozy's the best American striker—whether or not he's on form. Oh, and goalie haha.
