I want to see Landon Donovan be tried as a central midfielder. He's got the vision, the passing, the tactical nous, and the hustle, but the pace that has been his hallmark on the wing has diminished to the point where he's not taking people 1v1 that much anymore. This will let us see if he can be the creative midfield playmaker the US has so desperately wanted since Claudio Reyna retired. Jozy and Herculez could go either way, but because the Russia game will be in Europe, I'll give Jozy the nod. Lichaj gets the nod at leftback with Johnson pushed to the top to create width in the attack.
