Johnson has been playing out of ths world, and has experience scoring goals in international matches so it only makes sense to start him up top, with Dempsey playing behind him in a role where he can make runs into space for Johnson or drop into the midfield and receive the ball and get the ball wide to Zusi or Kljestan. I like the midfield playing in a diamond formation with Bradley at the top in a more offensive role where he can distribute, and Jones at the bottom in a defensive role with his aggressive tackling providing help to he back four. Williams isn't a defender by position, and I only chose him because it looks like Johnson won' t be available dur to illness, but I think he can handle the left back position and will give JK the overlapping runs Johnson would if he was healthy. Bocanegra and Cameron are becoming a solid back two, but I would like to see someone like Gonzalez getting more time in the USMNT with Cameron because I think that will be the combination for the 2014 WC, and we all know what Cherundolo can do on the right.
