Now that Shea and Donovan are out there needed to be some changes to my starting XI. The formation I'm going for isn't available but I'm thinking this plays like a 4-3-1-2 with Jones, Williams, and Bradley playing in the middle, similar to what we did against Scotland (Edu played in that game but I'm replacing him with Williams). Dempsey would play ahead of the midfield 3 and behind Johnson and Gomez. Johnson is in because of his ability to get his head on the ball. The formation is very narrow and relies on Johnson and Cherundolo to provide width.
