Landon Donovan has just come off of an awkward scare with his knee. There's no reason to risk him against Antigua & Barbuda when you could test a left flank with Fabian Johnson, Brek Shea and EJ. Cherundolo and Dempsey make up a competent right flank to rely on. Howard, Gomez and Bradley are mainstays. Kyle Beckerman is in over Jermaine Jones as Jones is likely to pick up a silly card in the first game that could keep him out against a tougher side in Guatemala.
