Though in the beginning he used the 4-3-3 quite often, Jurgen has publicly stated that he prefers the 4-4-2. This game is not only an opportunity to see a few new(er) faces but also to get some key guys ready for World Cup Qualifiers in a few months. That being said, this is a Euro-based squad because it doesn't make sense to fly players across the pond for 1 game. F: Dempsey/Altidore were no-brianers. Altidore>Gomez. M: Bradley/Williams is the best central midfield pairing. Bedoya and Gatt offer pace on the wings. Bedoya hasn't been lighting the world on fire this year but he has been playing well and could be a key part of the USMNT in 2013 with our lack of wing depth. Gatt has been called in before but was injured. If he is healthy, it will be fun to see what he can bring to the table. D: This is our back line for now. Cameron/Bocanegra have another chance to lock things up in the back. Cherundolo/Johnson should not be questioned as starters. G: Timmy. 'Nuff said. Subs: F: Terrence Boyd. The boy can score goals. WM: Kljestan. Kljestan has been playing well, but I've seen enough of him to know what he is capable of doing. I'd like to see more of Bedoya and Gatt as starters because their pace can be dangerous. CM: Diskerud and Jones. Even if you don't like his style, Jones has been playing well for Schalke. Diskerud is a younger option who brings a different style to the table. WB: Eric Lichaj should be in Russia. He isn't better than Johnson/Cherundolo and I don't know if he is better than Parkhurst, but he has wrongfully been left out of a few of Jurgen's squads. CB: John Anthony Brooks. We don't have much for center back options. I've seen enough of Goodson to know that he is ok, but why not give somebody else a call-up? G: Guzan Last man out: Parkhurst. Though neither him nor Lichaj will probably play a part in this match. One to watch: Onyewu. Hes slow, but if he regains the form he before his knee injuries, he would at least be adding depth to a shaky center back pool.
