Gomez and Dempsey are speedy and creative players that are capable of finishing anything given to them. With Zusi and Torres on the outside there will be many of balls whipped into the middle to be finished. Bradley and Jones in the middle, no explanation needed there. The hardest part about deciding this lineup was the back four. Bocanegra has been the only semi-consistent back for U.S. in recent years. Cameron has had good showings with the National team and has been playing well with stoke this season. Johnson and Chandler both have a lot of speed and will be useful when creating quick counter attacks with overlapping runs and getting into the attack. And for Howard, well everyone knows when he is suiting up for the stars and stripes he performs on another level.
