A bit unconventional, offense-minded and slightly risky, but I like it for a number or reasons. (Yes, a 4-2-3-1.) You have a nice mix of youth and experience on the back line, anchored by Bocanegra (likely to wear the captain's armband) with Stoke's battle-tested Geoff Cameron in central defense as well. Williams is your holding midfielder and plays deep; Bradley goes box-to-box. Dempsey withdrawn just behind Altidore, where he thrives best. And some space on the wings for Zusi and Gomez to run the channels.
