GK--I think it will be one of the young kids, I will Johnson the edge since he is from my hometown.
CB--The easiest spots to pick. We need a CB badly and Besler and Gonzalez are the best prospects going forward. Throw'em out and see what we got, who knows they may show such great chemistry that they could push Cameroon for his spot too.
L/RB--I will give the San Jose duo the nod here. I think in comparison to what we have already with the A team this is the biggest drop and I am not sure any of the guys have a real shot a making the full team soon, that is of course if Timmy is really playing for the US now. Lade could get the call since Jurgen could see him as a poor mans Phillip Lahm.
CDM--Beckerman is Jurgen guys and I will say he gets the armband too.
CAM--Diskerud is best central play maker for the US I think. Here he will get a chance to show what he has with a few other guys capable of playing in Honduras when the real games start.
L/RM--Zusi has shown to be are first team player for the US the last few months and gets the start. I think he will work really well with Mix and Brad. Davis has the sweetest left foot in American soccer. Might be to old to feature for the A team but I think his years of consistent play at club level gets him the start of Gatt who I think will be a change of pace sub in the second half.
FWD--EJ has just been a better player than Budle and showed he can play well with the US, although that was more as a mid. Wondo gets the spot over Juan because I think this will be Wondos last shot to make the A team. Jurgen gives him a good shot to show if he has it or he does not.
