Kenny Saief could easily make an argument that he should get the start in this game over Rubio Rubin, but I think Rubin will get the start specifically because he's finally coming into his own and looking dangerous. We've been waiting to see if he's reach his full potential since his youth world cup days. McKennie looked irreplaceable at the 6 in Philly, and although Will Trapp will try to step up, McKennie is way to hot right now to bench for this. Robinson has been a long time coming and I think the nation is hungry for more from him. The only other mildly contentious starter on this list is Bobby Wood, and honestly, he doesn't really deserve the start. That said, he absolutely needs to start. The poor guy hasn't enjoyed a game of soccer in over a year. His season was awful, his club's fans set their stadium on fire, he barely rescued the USMNT in Honduras only to shoulder the responsibility for the WC qualifying failure a few months later. He could use a fun meaningless game and with such an exciting lineup of youth behind him to create chances for him against beatable opponents, this is the perfect opportunity for him to love this game again.
