Horvath is getting quality minutes in Europe I can't think of any reason he shouldn't be our #1. Similar story with Miazga. I hope Cameron is brought to camp to provide leadership but its time to start transitioning the two of them. Villafana has been OK, but at left back that's about the best we can ask for. Villafana is young enough to be in Qatar so, until Antonee Robinson can show us otherwise, I think it's Villafana's spot for Vincent to challenge.
I'm as anxious as everyone else to see the "Teen Triangle" of Pulisic, Gonzo and McKennie. At camp I think Gonzo and Williams should have a pretty good competition for the starting job. Arriola has every reason to keep his starting spot. I'm not a huge Agudelo fan but Morris is out, Gooch and Hyndman are starved for minutes, haven't seen Siad, for a flash I thought Green might be getting his act together but that appeared to last roughly a week. Agudelo provides creativity and hopefully can pull some of the pressure off Pulisic. Striker: a week ago this was Wood's spot with a bullet but the reports about his form make me question it. Again the pool looks shallow. Altidore will be busy with MLS. Christian Ramierez was solid this season but hes untested and that's a hell of a trial by fire for a "decent" striker. Boyd, Johannson and Kieswatter are all starved for minutes. Starting one of the teenagers just seems like were Adu-ing them. I'm not sold on Dwyer and conscious of his age but, if nothing else he can harass the defense and create space for Pulisic to operate.
