The diamond hasn't worked lately because Johnson doesn't fit the role of a shuttler who need to be a hybrid of a winger and #8. Nagbe and Bedoya are perfect fits for this role. Also puts Pulisic in the middle which is most important while allowing us to give Jozy a partner as well. Against Panama Yedlin and, to a somewhat lesser degree, Villafana should have plenty of freedom to get down the flanks to provide the width.
