Main note: As this is a tryout for the WC roster, every player on the squad should get a chance to play. I do want Acosta in every game. He could be a legitimate starter for the top team. Forwards: Agudelo and Morris are big, physical and fast. I'd love to see these guys play off of one another and attempt to physically dominate Panama's backline. Midfield: I'm split between starting Zardes or Bedoya. But if Gyasi can get his groove back, he provides unique speed and size that few other American players can offer. We know what we get from Bedoya. Roldan and Acosta could be a strong CM pairing. I want to see Saief, but since he's off the roster, maybe the US has something with Pontius on the left. Defenders: Lichaj is one of the most solid American players who has had little opportunity on the national team. Besides Yedlin, he's really the only true right back in the pool. He needs opportunities. Morrow has been playing well in MLS. The Miazga-Gonzalez pairing is nice because they are two international champions, one older and one younger. Keeper: Guzan and Howard won't be around forever. Why not give Hamid a chance?
