I dislike Bruce's team selection. He needed to bring in Miazga while we are weak at CB and don't have our top choice outside backs in instead of dead weight like Beasley. He needed to drop Wondo and bring in a hard man in midfield like Danny Williams to counter the questionable officials of CONCACAF against our skilled but rather soft midfield. So stuck with selection issues in the squad and injury issues to exacerbate our predicament, this is my lineup. Wood in place of Jozy for his hold up play, skill, and ability to make runs off the ball. He will harry defenders all game and we can sub him for J-Mo late on or shift Deuce up there. Dempsey plays in advanced CM position, like a CAM, behind Wood. McCarty supports him by sitting in midfield to distribute and control possession. Pulisic plays on the wing with freedom to drift inside as he pleases. Bradley sits back to support the defense and turn the switch to attack with long passing. He supports the attack by offering possession skills. Villafana is more match fit than Fabian at this point, as is Besler over Gonzo most likely, but if Gonzo is healthy I prefer him. Geoff is our best available CB, and Zusi is somehow the best RB this country of 330 million people can offer with Yedlin injured. Howard starts in goal. Consistency is the philosophy for our GK at this point, and he is by far the most consistent.
