This allows Johnson to be in a somewhat more attacking position. I believe these three CBs are our best defenders so why not have them in a makeshift 3 or 5 back line. Yedlin gets to utilize his pace with Bedoyas experience and work ethic. Jones can move up as a CAM in transition and still have Bradley and Bedoya for support in the center of field. Bradley if he has a good game I'm sure can't combine well with Johnson. Dempsey and Wood so that neither needs to be a solitary striker like Altidore.
