Guatemala is likely to sit back, especially since they are on the road, so I want two strikers up top. Altidore seems to be in much improved shape and Wood is in good form. I think we play better with energetic movement up top which Dempsey is not able to consistently do anymore. Bedoya has been playing CAM for his club and is a big reason they are pushing for a top spot in France. Bradley when playing deeper than the 10 is an upper echelon player. On the flanks I want to see Nguyen at LM again and Finlay is one of the very few true RMs in our player pool. With Nguyen at LM he can also tuck inside to let Johnson play more advanced. Along the backline, I would like to see Villafana at LB, but I would not take any risks with the backline in a World Cup qualifying game. Cameron has been struggling with nagging injuries, so I would not risk him. Gonzalez has been in career form for Pachuca.
