WCQ @ Guatemala. The Klinsy, as he is demanding to be referred to from this day forward, says that it is crucial that we come away with a point down south. He's gone on record and guaranteed getting this favorable result. He has announced a sure fire way with what he calls his Wehrmacht line up. AKA unstoppable defensive force. He was quoted as saying "it is now time to unleash the Ami-Panzer division on the region." As a first, he's unveiled his starting line up with the game over a month away. Says this will allow his players to rise to the occasion and embrace new roles in unfamiliar positions. In an exclusive interview with Bob Costas and Bryant Gumble he breaks down the starting line up. Here are some excerpts from the over 3 hr interview. On Altidore: “Jozy is in great form and although he is racist towards scoring goals when they matter, he is a little ahead of everyone else when they don’t matter. People complain about him being on the team but have they ever won a world cup as a striker for deutschland? I didn’t think so. Jozy is the best attacker the US has ever had and just needs more games to feel comfortable.” On Jones: “Jermaine is our real true team captain. We need him on the pitch. He brings the kind of nastiness every winning team needs. We must find a position for him. We have tried him at CB and he did terrific which led our team leaders to realize if he was great at CB he’d be even better if we dropped him further back at Goal keeper. This is a brilliant and most advance way of thinking my staff has brought and will unleash on the world.” On Timmy Chandler: “Timmy has had a lot of issues with his club and because of this and also because he was disappointed he wasn’t good enough to play for zee Mannschaft and didn’t really want to play for the US, he maybe didn’t perform up to his best standards. But he looks and is kinda like Frankenstein. So we got to work on him and we feel with a new role and several more chances to fail that he will step up and excel at his new role as a destroyer.“ On Bill Hamid: “We have had Bill come in for many camps and never get any actual playing time. He’s usually hurt or we have better players in front of him, but he is a quality player and we have decided to team him up with Chandler as double destroyers. Who is better than a great goal keeper to teach someone about stopping attacks?” On Bradley: “Michael is our true #10, but we thought with the wehrmact line up that it gave us an opportunity to try something new with him at LB. The fact of the matter is that we don’t have a true LB so we think hey Michael is our #10 so why not try him there instead of bringing in an actual LB? That would be silly you know.” On Fabian Johnson: “Fabian is doing great in Europe. He is probably our most in form player so I thought we should rest him for this series but then I thought hey, we need a new center back dual. Why not play one of our best attacking players here where he’s never played. Who better to know what a striker will do than an attacking player playing at the highest level?” On the rest of his back line: “We are no fools, we know we have 2 players(Michael & Fabian) playing at unfamiliar positions here. So instead of teaming them up with people who have experience and can help them out we put two other players who are also not actually familiar with their roles either. This will bring proper chemistry and create a brotherhood as they will fight in the trenches together and bleed sort to speak. If we teamed them up with experienced players then there might be some kind of negative thoughts and they might feel inferior like say the dutch do when compared to Germans. We can’t have that, we need to be careful with fragile american egos, we need unity. Bingham and Guzan do bring that defensive experience from being life long GK and that will really help. It’s not like we are just throwing anyone out there. We have ideas that most people just will never understand. We are a futuristic thinking team. On his attacking mids. “We hear Timmy is on his way to MLS, I am very disappointed. I wanted to leave him off the team to send him a message but I don’t want any backlash so I will make the most of a bad situation. But actually this will turn out great as he is perfect for the Panzer division aka our attacking mids. Our goal here is to get a point. You can’t get a point if you outscore your opponents and everyone knows a best defense is no offense.”
