Best keeper gets the nod. Bolton's player of the year gets the nod over the out of form youngster at LB. Cameron is the best RB on this roster. At CB, it becomes clear that you need an organizer. With better fullback options that could have been Ream or Cameron, but in their absence it has to be Besler. I only have room for one hulking, error-prone CB and based on recent form it's Gonzalez.
Given the absence of wide MFs or overlapping fullback, a 3-man midfield is the best option. Jones policing behind Morales and Bedoya. Up top, Zardes and Wood have both looked dangerous in MNT stints and bring much needed pace. AJ gets the central start as a reward for his moving to the Bundesliga and starting. If I had more confidence in Jozy right now, his skills would be a better fit here.
