Up top, I want to rest Altidore (more time to heal up) and give Johannsson another opportunity to try and replicate his club form. While I think Dempsey and Johannsson are too similar to play well together, I would like to see just how they do. Zardes gives us another look of him at LM which is a position left even more open by Davis' injury. Zusi hasn't played for us in almost a year, so it would be good to see what he can give us (plus I would like to rest Bedoya who could use more time as well to heal up). Morales I think is our only real chance at having a back up to Beckerman if he were to get injured (unless Kitchen is brought in for the knockout round). Brooks and Gonzalez I think are our 2 best CBs and could use a game playing together. Evans had a brilliant half at RB against Germany, so I would give him another look.
