Landon Donovan just edges out USMNT prospects Joe Gyau and Julian Green for the wide right forward/ right attacking midfielder; Donovan has adapted to that role ever since Bob Bradley placed him there during the 2010 World Cup. Bradley and Beasley are placed as the deep-lying midfielders. The back line is the same as the 2014 World Cup, just with 2 changes: Deandre Yedlin at right-back and newly-signed Borussia Monchengladbach wing-back Fabian Johnson.
