Altidore should be up front, as always. However, Aron Johannsson is the guy I'm keeping my eye on for the center-forward job if Altidore falters or gets injured. Bedoya's best position is right behind the striker; he plays that position at his Ligue 1 club FC Nantes. Clint Dempsey is played out wide as the wide left forward/ left attacking midfielder in the widely used 4-2-3-1 formation. Landon Donovan just edges out USMNT prospects Joe Gyau and Julian Green for the wide right forward/ right attacking midfielder; Donovan has adapted to that role ever since Bob Bradley placed him there during the 2010 World Cup. Bradley and Beasley are placed as the deep-lying midfielders. The back line is the same as the 2014 World Cup, just with 2 changes: Deandre Yedlin at right-back and newly-signed Borussia Monchengladbach wing-back Fabian Johnson.
