I want Howard to continue to build a rapport with his cbs. Brooks looks like he has some potential but hard to imagine starting him at a world cup, never liked Omar so Besler and Cameron are my guys in the center. I want to see Yedlin start a game as well as give Fabian some minutes on the left hand side. I think Beasley should start against Ghana on the left with Fabian on the right but a great performance from Yedlin could change my mind. Plus just get him some minutes to gain some confidence. Chandler is an emergency option only at this point in my mind no use in wasting time playing him in this game. Probably take another look at Brooks in the second half but if Bes and Cam are looking good why not give them 90 minutes to continue to gel.
I dont think Beckerman and Davis are world cup quality they're at the end of my bench. Bedoya on the left and he's my starter against Ghana, just give him some run in this game. I would bring Julian Green on for Bedoya at the beginning of the second half and really challenge him to make an impact. If he's worth a roster spot over #10 he needs to show it. Id bring on Mix for Bradley at the half to give him a rest and protect him from further risk and move Zusi to the middle to see if he can handle that role. Make Jones prove he can play 90 minutes of strong holding midfield.
Up top Dempsey needs to play at least 45 inspired minutes. I got Johansson up there because he needs to show me he's worthy of seeing the field at the World Cup. Also Im not thrilled with Jozy lately so I would love to see what else I have. Aron is being a given an opportunity to take Jozy's job in my eyes, granted it would take a very strong performance. Wondo comes in for Dempsey if im satisfied with the captains performance.
