Meant to be more of a 4-4-2 diamond. Beckerman as a true holding DM, as opposed to the role Jones was playing, as a CM told to hold. He's too marauding for that role, we need the discipline of Beckerman. We've got Bradley and Jones as shuttlers between back five and front three. Jozy up top will run the channels, work hard and hopefully force some mistakes that Dempsey, Johannsson, and who know's, maybe even Altidore, can take advantage of. Not thrilled with Beasley or Besler, but best of the options I felt. Still, was tempted to go Brooks at CB, shift Johnson left and install Yedlin right.
